Daisuke Hori, a self-proclaimed “ultra-short sleeper” who famously claimed to sleep for only 30 minutes a day for the past 17 years, is facing intense backlash following a crazy 169-hour livestream to prove his abilities.
The 169-Hour Stream
To silence growing skepticism from the public, Hori launched a continuous 24/7 weekly livestream (totaling 169 hours) in September 2026 to vindicate his claims. Instead, the stream served as a definitive record that exposed his lies:
- The Nap: On the second day of the stream, Hori visibly dozed off and began snoring while receiving a head spa treatment. He later claimed that this was a natural phenomenon called “microsleep” (←???) . According to Wikipedia, “microsleep” usually occurs from sleep deprivation, although we do not know whether he was actually at “microsleep”.
- His Eyes: As the days progressed, viewers watched his eyes severely bloodshot, forcing him to wear sunglasses to hide them.
- The Incident: On the sixth day of the stream, Hori accidentally exposed his lower-body private parts while bathing.

The Aftermath
Immediately following the conclusion of the stupid 169-hour stream, Hori quietly removed the term “Short Sleeper” from his official X (formally Twitter) profile.
